Limitations of Calculation Accuracy

We strive to provide accurate results, but differences from actual amounts may occur for the following reasons. First, for tax calculations, actual tax amounts may vary depending on individual deduction items, tax reduction benefits, and special circumstances (non-residents, foreigners, daily workers, etc.). Our calculators are designed based on standard employment income earners. Second, financial product comparisons and loan interest calculations may not perfectly reflect preferential conditions, early repayment fees, or interest calculation method differences (monthly/daily compounding) that vary by financial institution. Third, real-time data such as exchange rates, stock prices, and fuel prices may differ depending on the API query timing, and cached data may be displayed. Fourth, real estate transaction prices and assessed values may not reflect the latest information due to reporting delays or data refresh cycles. Fifth, minor discrepancies of 1 to several hundred won may occur due to rounding processes during calculations.
Data Sources and Updates
HandyTools utilizes the following public data and official APIs to provide information. • Bank of Korea Economic Statistics System (ECOS): Base interest rates, Consumer Price Index • Korea Eximbank: Exchange rate information • Financial Supervisory Service (FSS): Financial product comparison including deposits, savings, mortgages, jeonse loans, and credit loans • Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport: Apartment transaction prices, car-sharing information • Korea National Oil Corporation (OPINET): Gas station fuel prices • Public Data Portal (data.go.kr): Product prices, waste disposal information, stock prices, dividend information, car-sharing data • Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute: Public holidays, memorial days, and 24 solar terms Each data source is cached at intervals of 1 to 24 hours depending on the update frequency of the source agency. Data may temporarily become unavailable due to API failures or server maintenance, in which case previously cached data may be displayed or lookups may fail. The ultimate responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of public data lies with the providing agency. HandyTools does not guarantee against errors that may occur during the data relay process.
